Privacy notice
This notice describes information processed by the British ProCare Dental Clinics website and patient account service.
Information we may process
Account registration requests your full name, email address and phone number; date of birth is optional. A patient record may also contain contact details, allergies, medical conditions, medications, previous dental treatment, appointments, clinical notes, treatment plans, invoices, payment records, clinical photographs and X-rays entered by clinic staff.
How information is used
Information is used to create and verify accounts, manage appointment requests and visits, support care and maintain clinical records, and send service-related messages. Passwords are stored as hashes by the application, not as the original plain-text password.
Access and service providers
The patient portal requires sign-in and is scoped to the linked patient account. Patient-record API routes are restricted to signed-in admin, doctor and receptionist roles. Verification and password-reset messages may be sent by email. The embedded map loads content from Google Maps.
Patient photographs and permission to publish
Clinical photographs and X-rays may be stored in a care record. Permission to take a photograph for care is not permission to publish it. Before using an identifiable patient image on this website or social media, the clinic should obtain separate, documented permission that specifies the intended public use and respect any withdrawal. The current application does not record publication consent or verify consent for a particular image; this notice therefore does not confirm that consent exists for images currently displayed.
Retention and privacy requests
The application does not define a single retention period or an automatic patient-record deletion process. Contact the clinic to ask about its applicable retention schedule, request information about your data, or ask for a correction. The clinic will review requests in light of care and applicable obligations.
